A magnificent Antique Edwardian brooch crafted at the turn of the 20th Century. It boasts a large cut of natural Black Opal which is a kaleidoscope of rainbow colours shimmering and changing colours with the light. Flashes of ethereal green and bright blue burn within the stone, flowing as it moves like the Aurora Borealis.
The Opal spreads to approx. 25ct and is collet set in the centre of an ornate Silver frame with milgrain detailing and glistening Cut Steel studs. It’s backed in 18ct Gold on the reverse and fitted with a secure pin and safety catch.
It’s a remarkable antique find and showcases a spellbinding Opal which has remained in pristine condition.
